All German Shepherd Dogs from Von Cey Working Shepherds are sold with a solid health guarantee.

Hip Displasia
Hip dysplasia is a congenital malformation of the ball and socket joint of the hip which all reputable breeders are attempting to eliminate in the German Shepherd Dog. In order for the health guarantee from Cey Working Shepherds, for hip displasia to be valid, the purchaser must:

• x-ray hips at 8-12 months of age and
• again at 18-24 months of age.

To ensure the x-rays are read by a qualified radiologist, all X-rays must be certified at one of the following institutions

• University of Saskatchewan radiology department (within Saskatchewan)
• OFA or Ontario Veterinarian College (outside of Saskatchewan).

If the dog is a pet (and is found to have hip displasia) it may be kept as long as it is comfortable and then a replacement pup will be provided by Cey Working Shepherds. If purchaser does not x-ray hips by 2 years of age, the guarantee shall expire.

Genetic Disorders

Cey Working Shepherds will guarantee against other genetically based problems such as:

• thyroid problems
• epilepsy

providing a qualified professional assessment proves a genetic origin. This is to be determined by a reputable veterinarian. The original pup may be kept if these problems are found. When available a similar temperament/gender replacement pup will be offered by Cey Working Shepherds.
